Caring For Your Feet

Ill-fitting shoes can sometimes lead to distortion of the toes and may lead to the development of painful conditions such as bunions and corns. When buying shoes take care to ensure that they fit properly, allowing enough space for the toes to spread out.Shoes with pointed toes and high heels should be worn only when you do not expected to be standing or walking for long periods. They are likely to damage  the feet and make you adopt an unnatural posture that may lead to backaches.(To avoid distoring the toes(right)choose a low heeled round toed shoes)

Foot Hygiene
Wash your feet daily, drying thoroughly between the toes to reduce the risk of fungal infection (athlete’s foot).Wear socks made of natural fibres such as cotton or wool-they absorb moisture better than man made fibres. If the skin of your feet is dry or cracked, apply a feet cream.

Toenails

Trim your toenails regularly, but do not cut them too short as this may damage the skin underneath,Always cut your toenails straight across.
