Nappy Rash

It is unusual for any baby to cruise through the first year of its life without developing a nappy rash. The changes may affect the creases alone or all of the skin in the nappy area,in some cases reaching the lower thighs.the colour may be pink or red and the surface may be scaly, shiny or even covered with small ulcers.

Many factors tend to to act together.A wet or soiled nappy and friction can damage skin if left in place for sufficiently long and then yeasts(candida),can grown on the damaged skin matters worse.Seborrhic eczema may also be the trigger factors.
