Oily skin

Acne is usually associated with oily skin.In acne, oil gets clogged in the iol glands and pores and pimples develop. However, many people have oily skin without pimples. The tendency for oily skin is hereditary.

All we can do now is to try to control surface skin oil as effectively as possible.Oily skin is frequently associated with large pores. There are no proven methods of making large pores smaller. Some astrigents make pores appear smaller for a few hours, but invariably as the effect of the astringent wears off the pore assumes its natural open appearance.
Basic skin care for oily skin starts with soap and water.Soap is unexcelled for its degreasing properties.Washing with soap and water several times a day will remove oil as it comes to the surface.Removing the oil, however is only part of the solution,as oily skin has the ability to maintain its oiliness.
There are many cosmetics made for oily skin. These usually are formulated to soak upand cover the oiliness so the skin does not have a greasy look.No cosmetic for oily skin has any magical ingredient to stop the oil production. They can mask the oil production effectively,if applied carefully.Water based oil free cosmetics work best on oily skin.Moisturizers and creams should not be used as the add to greasy look and feel.
